[ Sacrament of countenance ] Usage: invoke 'sacrament of countenance' target
Usage: cast 'sacrament of countenance' target

Usage: invoke 'sacrament of countenance' (no target, defaults to self)
Usage: cast 'sacrament of countenance' (no target, defaults to self)

The prayer of aid. This spell which can be either invoked or cast, offers protection in battle bounding the target within a shield of holiness. This shield will attempt to reduce incoming damage from physical types of attacks. This does not including resisting damage from magical, mental or elemental based attacks. Although limited to physical resistance, has proven to be a powerful aid in almost any battle.

[ Sentinel dominance ]

Usage: cast 'sentinel dominance'
Usage: invoke 'sentinel dominance'

Through intense concentration and great drain of spirit or mana, it is possible for a being to obtain the powers of a sentinel-like being. The transformation that takes place empowers the caster or invoker to grow in size in physical sustenance and fatigue based strength. The power granted by this spell is directly reflected by the intellect and wisdom of the caster or the willpower of the invoker. The duration, however, is based directly off of the experience the individual has in the world. The greater that experience the longer one can maintain the staunch form of the sentinel. It has been rumored that mystical powers have been bestowed on the sentinel. However, only those empowered by utter mastery of intellect and wisdom, or willpower, have been rumored to achieve those magnificent, and mystical, abilities.

[ Shadow cast ]

Usage: cast 'shadow cast'
Usage: invoke 'shadow cast'

Shadow cast is an interesting, yet extremely useful power. What this spell attempts to do is hide the target from their opponents with their own shadow. The darkness surrounding the target of the spell will in turn give bonuses to their quickness, and allow them to be missed much more in battle. Shadow cast is a great ally to Mercenaries and Ninjas thoughout the land. As the invoker of this spell grows in willpower, the shadow cast affect will grow as well.

[ Shadow Gaze ]

Usage: cast 'shadow gaze' player to locate/npc to locate
Usage: invoke 'shadow gaze' player to locate/npc to locate

Often referred to by Arhkarret as her "third eye." Powerful as she may have been, one thing Arhkarret could not do was keep a watchful eye over her enemies. Seeing this as her only weakness, she again returned the very depths of the Abyss to find an answer. Here she found an incantation that would allow her to do just what she long sought after. Calling out to the wraiths of the nether realm, Arhkarret was able to call forth a shadow to stalk her prey, find their location, and return to her their whereabouts. Those with the keenest of magical eyes never even knew they were being watched, nor did their magical senses warn them. Trust not your own shadows, for they now serve the dark creator.

[ Shield of Lectokke ]

Usage: cast 'shield of lectokke'
Usage: invoke 'shield of lectokke'

The magic of Lectokke was great, and few have the ability to understand his teachings. Those who do, begin learning with a great spell indeed: the shield of Lectokke. Lectokke's shield attempts to absorb damage vested in magical energy. When hit by anything, the target of this spell will attempt to convert the damage into half magical drain, and half physical drain. Although only master of intellect and wisdom can create a shield which absorbs every attack, this spell is useful to even the most novice of Sorcerers. As the Sorcerer grows in power, more spells of Lectokke become available. The one major drawback of this spell is: if your mana absorbs all it can from a hit, all spells will be drained from your body. Lectokke was never able to master the retainment of spells after all magical energy has been drained, and it's rumored to be impossible. Nevertheless, this spell is mostly effective, but has one very nasty side affect.

[ Shifted cognition ]

Usage: cast 'shifted cognition'
Usage: invoke 'shifted cognition'

A slight "shift" in planes of existence can sometimes cause huge side-effects. One such side-effect is that caused by shifted cognition. The sorcerer behind this shift is capable of intellectual growth unmatched by others, due to the 'experience' of being simultaneously in this plane of existence and another plane. The intellect itself is the sole determiner of this shift's power, and the constitution of the user controls the duration of the shift. Those of mighty intellect and mighty constitution can shift this dimension raising their own perceptions to unbelievably high elevations.

[ Sight of divestment ]

Usage: cast 'sight of divestment' target
Usage: invoke 'sight of divestment' target

This spell offers visibility to that which was cloaked from sight beforehand. Both castable and invokable, sight of divestment's success rate is based off of the user's skill percent (%) and its power rate is based off of the user's intellect and wisdom if cast and willpower if invoked. Sight of divestment can be targetted on others, as well as the user of this spell. It's power level, however, can never reach 100%.

[ Sigil of the undead army ]

Usage: cast 'sigil of the undead army'
Usage: invoke 'sigil of the undead army'

Necromancers have strong connections to the dead. Sigil of the undead army taps into that connection and attempts to bring forth a small army to heed the word of the necromancer.

This size of the army summoned is based entirely upon the necromancer's willpower. The power of each individual follower summoned is based on all of the necromancer's statistics and pools.

[ Slow ]

Usage: invoke 'slow' target
Usage: invoke 'slow' (while already in battle)

This dark spell has been known to cause disruptions in the cellular density of a target for a short duration. This disturbance has been known to make the target much heavier. Due to this extreme weight change, the victim is slowed dramatically (controlled by the wisdom of the user). Although only usable in battle and having an extremely short duration, slow has been known to be one of the most sought after tools for opponent manipulation in existence. Beware of those who have mastered the art of this spell, for it can be extremely dangerous when used in the right hands...

[ Song of the trees ]

Usage: cast 'song of the trees' target
Usage: invoke 'song of the trees' target

Usage: cast 'song of the trees' (when already in battle - targets opponent)
Usage: invoke 'song of the trees' (when already in battle - targets opponent)

With this powerful spell, you can seek out the assistance of a tree to aid you in battle. The tree itself is part of your being and therefore its power is based on you. The tree will attack whatever you are attacking until its duration has ended at which time it will wither away. The one major advantage calling on trees to assist you in battle, is the continual damage that is done by them, every round. Unlike, just firing off a damage spell, the tree will attempt to attack every round. As you increase in level, the trees number of attacks will increase, as well as the percent of attacking per round. As you increase in power (int and wis is the spell is cast, willpower if the spell is invoked) the duration of the tree's existence will increase. Song of the trees has known to be extremely powerful as the power and level of the caster or invoker improves.

[ Soul guardian ]

Usage: cast 'soul guardian'
Usage: invoke 'soul guardian'

Those who are truly evil and chaotic in nature can at times call toward the depths of the hells to bring forth a soul guardian. This guardian will strike back at anyone or anything attacking its master, as well as rejuvinate the caster or invoker of this spell in terms of mana and spirit (but not health or endurance). This spell has long been known to be the greater power of the necromancer and few have been known to master its powers so well, as they could survive merely off the rejuvination of the soul they are consuming to give added life to their own.

[ Soul egression ]

Usage: cast 'soul egression' target
Usage: invoke 'soul egression' target

Usage: cast 'soul egression' (when already in battle - targets opponent)
Usage: invoke 'soul egression' (when already in battle - targets opponent)

The unholy power of the Necromancer. With this spell and this spell alone, the Necromancers of the land have been feared. Soul egression attempts to tear away at the very soul of its victim, turning that energy into raw power which aids the Necromancer herself. Soul egression will effectively drain the victim's health, mana, spirit and endurance with one powerful drain. Castable and invokable, the energy drained from the victim will then aid the Necromancer by increasing her health (hit points). The spell will also leave the victim weak, which will inturn allow the Necromancer to attack first as well as leaving the victim unable to commit any action for a single round of combat. Although the spell itself drains little in terms of mana or spirit, it will keep the Necromancer from acting for two rounds. Be warned, soul egression will NEVER miss its target, so long as the caster/invoker of this spell is successful in casting or invoking its power.

Soul egression also makes the user more evil with every use.

[ Speckled Field ]

Usage: cast 'speckled field'
Usage: invoke 'speckled field'

Speckled field is a basic counterattack ability. Once used, other basic counterattacks cannot be used again until the prevention time for speckled field has worn off.

The affects of speckled field are purely magical. Barely visible magical sparks surround the user in an interconnected field. Any incoming attacks have the chance of being hit back by these magical sparks.

The effectiveness of the spell is based on the user's intellect and agility as the speckled field draws largely from the user's ability to interact in a weaving motion with the speckled field to keep it active.

[ Spiritstone ]

Usage: invoke 'spiritstone' target
Usage: invoke 'spiritstone' (when already in battle, this ability will automatically target your opponent if no target is supplied)

Spiritstone is a basic holy feat spell. Once used, other basic holy feat abilities cannot be used until the prevention time has worn away.

Spiritstone is a spiritual attack. When invoked, the user summons forth a white flamed stone that is then hurled at the opponent. The accuracy of the stone is based on the user's wisdom and alignment. The damage done by the stone is based on the user's speed, wisdom and alignment.

Those opponents who are negatively aligned have more to fear when poised against a spiritstone, than those who are positively aligned.

The prevention time incurred by spiritstone is lessened by a hearty (high constitution) character.

[ Staff of the gate ]

There's no help on that topic - please try again.

[ Star of the green flame ]

Usage: cast 'star of the green flame' target
Usage: cast 'star of the green flame' (when already in battle, this ability will automatically target your opponent if no target is supplied)

Usage: invoke 'star of the green flame' target
Usage: invoke 'star of the green flame' (when already in battle, this ability will automatically target your opponent if no target is supplied)

Star of the green flame is a basic fire generation ability. Once used, other basic fire generation abilities cannot be used until the prevention time has worn away. However, other non-basic fire generation abilities can still be used.

Thankfully, star of the green flame has an incredibly short prevention time.

The star's accuracy is high and is greatly improved by the user's intellect. Oddly enough, the damage done by the star is based entirely on the user's speed. It is believed that this speed based damage is caused by the star's speed being a direct reflectant of the user's speed. Thus, the faster the user is, the faster the star is.

The damage type of the green fire-star is both physical and fire based.

[ Static Charge ]

Usage: cast 'static charge' target
Usage: invoke 'static charge' target

Usage: cast 'static charge' (when already in battle - targets opponent)
Usage: invoke 'static charge' (when already in battle - targets opponent)

One of the lesser powers of the elemental people. Static charge attempts to inject a target with a minor bolt of static electricity. Although this spell starts off rather weak, strength in the caster/invoker's mind, and experience will greatly increase this spell's power. If the spell is cast, or invoked, the damage is dependant solely on the individual's intellect and wisdom. The level affects the number of charges an individual can successfully get off before draining their electrical energy.

[ Step of phasing ]

Usage: cast 'step of phasing' direction
Usage: invoke 'step of phasing' direction

Sorcerers who are elevated to master sorcerers, are known as planar sages. They are known as sages of the 'planes' for no small reason. These beings, masters of the planes themselves, can begin to phase through planes of existence by will alone.

The step of phasing is the entry point to those phasing powers. With a mere thought, a sorcerer with this gift can travel where others are prevented. Although not all obstacles can be overcome with this ability, a few great obstacles can be overcome.

The recovery time before using another phased ability is based on the sorcerer's constitution.

[ Summon ]

Usage: cast 'summon' target
Usage: invoke 'summon' target

The ability to transfer another being to you. Although this spell is not quite as potent as greater summon, it is still extremely useful for pulling people or charmed NPCs to you, when they would normally not be able to come, or not come at all. A useful tool for gathering a group from afar, as well as luring unsuspecting players to yourself. This spell can be both cast and invoked.

[ Sweeping insight ]

Usage: cast 'sweeping insight'

The sweeping insight is a spell which grants a tracker greater distance in hunting range. The increased distance in hunt is a great magnification of power. It has been rumored that a tracker can hunt across continents with sweeping insight.

The effectiveness of the insight is based on the tracker's intellect and dexterity. The duration of the affect and the amount of time required to regenerate before using another insight is based on the user's constitution.
