[ Ice Blade ]
Usage: cast 'ice blade' target
Ice blade attempts to turn the caster's hands into blades of ice which are
then used to dispense great amounts of damage. This spell is quite powerful
and thus requires a large amount of mana and spirit to cast and invoke. Ice
blades cannot be parried as no normal weapon can withstand the force of the
icy attack. It is rumored ice blades cannot be evaded either, but some have
been rumored to do so. Ice blade is a frost based attack.
[ Illusionary Displacement ]
Often a being is bested in combat because they are far too easy to hit. The
spell illusionary displacement, which can be cast or invoked, is the remedy of
that ailment. Through illusionary displacement, a sorcerer will be able to
improve their quickness, artificially, by displacing their body feet from where
they actually stand. This spell improves as the intellect and wisdom improve
of the caster, or as the willpower improves of the invoker. Even with little
ability an individual with this spell can greatly increase their potential in
battle by greatly improving their quickness, which inturn lowers their chances
of being successfully hit.
[ Invigorate ]
Sometimes the endurance of a player will be severely crippled. When such
is the case, and the player is unable to spend the necessary hours of
sleeping regeneration, the spell known as invigorate may be invoked. This
spell will focus the spiritual forces of a player into valuable and useable
endurance energy. These forces flow only one way, though, and the direction
cannot be reversed.
[ Inviolable Asylum ]
When one has been gifted by the Gods, it is possible to find protection in
their light. Inviolable Asylum is that protection. One who is bound within
the asylum will be protected from great levels of physical damage, although
they will not find sanctuary from magical or mental attacks. That being so,
inviolable asylum still grants massive resistances to most damage, and while
being so powerful, this spell can only be invoked upon the user of the spell.
It will also cost a great toll on the invoker's spirit, which may seem to grow
increasingly as the power of the user grows, however, this limit will find
stability when the invoker reaches a certain level of spiritual power.
[ Infravision ]
There's no help on that topic - please try again.
[ Inosculated crossing ]
Inosculated crossing is an interesting spell. An exceptionally interesting
spell. To the common man or woman it is merely used to travel magically across
the land, thus making it "fairly" useful even to the unwary eye. However, those
who know its full power have often considered it to be one of the most deadly
spells in the land. When casting or invoking inosculation the user will attempt
to transport him or herself to the target. However, there exist certain
requirements that must first be met in order for travel to take place. The most
obvious are being outside non-portal areas (which are usually found by trial
and error). Yet most differently from other travel spells, the user must be
within a blended image. If the user lacks the blend affect, they will never
succeed with this spell, and considering the great cost of casting or
invoking it, the wise tend to verify they are in fact blended (using the
'affects' command). While the unknowledgable may not grasp the restriction
of this spell's movement, the keen know exactly why blend is bound to its
existence.
The blending the user undergoes will actually attempt to merge him or her with
the surrounding air molecules. This "merge" better known as inosculation,
allows unimaginable distance travel. The fluid motion obtained by the
inosculation allows the user to, almost instantly, arrive at the location of
the target. However, the cunning of this spell does not lie in the travel which
occurs, nor is it contained within the blending requirement. Simply put, its
power comes from the inosculation itself.
Just what those effects are, still remain hidden...
[ Ice Discharge ]
Usage: cast 'ice discharge' direction
Usage: invoke 'ice discharge' direction
Ice discharge is a spell which can incur more damage than any single target
spell. When cast or invoked the user will send hundreds of ice shards in the
direction specified. These 'shards' move at incredible speed and can inflict
massive amounts of damage, to anything which happens to be in their path. The
distance the ice shards can travel are determined by intellect and wisdom if
cast, and by willpower if invoked. The actual damage of the shards is heavily
dependant upon all three mental statistics; intellect, wisdom and willpower.
Users be wary, this spell can mean your downfall if cast/invoked upon a
group of creatures which are not instantly slain, as they will seek you out
to seal your fate. To the wise, this opens doorways for great opportunity.
The mana cost and spirit cost of an ice discharge is great. Ice discharge
incurs FROST/ICE damage.
