[ Haste ]

Usage: cast 'haste' (self-only)
Usage: invoke 'haste' (self-only)

Haste is a way of attempting to speed up your body beyond normal means. Haste can at times offer an additional attack in battle, but will usually not hit, or do as much damage, as a regular, non-hasted attack. This is primarily due to forcing an attack which wouldn't normally be there. Although haste has a draw back of hitting percent and damage, it is still a quite useful way of improving your combat prowess. Note: racial haste and the spell haste offer the same bonus, but do *not* cancel each other out. If you have racial haste and have the spell haste, you will still receive bonuses from both.

[ Hawks acumen ]

Usage: cast 'hawks acumen'

Hawks acumen is a spell which grants the tracker an insight that matches a hawk -- swooping vision. With this ability, the tracker can hunt on new vertical grounds, allowing upward and downward senses.

The effectiveness of hawks acumen is based on the tracker's intellect and dexterity. The duration of the affect and the amount of time required to regenerate before using another acumen is based on the user's constitution.

[ Heroes crusade ]

Usage: invoke 'heroes crusade'

The Crusade of the Heroes! This spell attempts to inspire any who are with the invoker of this spell. The inspiration given from the affect of this spell affects the recipient by increasing their ability to hit in combat and do damage in battle. Although the cost, in terms of spirit is great, the benefit of inspiring a massive group of individuals at once is even greater. Only those who are awake and of orderous beliefs can be inspired, as those who are evil will not partake in the Heroes quest, nor will they understand what motivation lies behind the inspiration others surrounding the invoker of this spell see. The Heroes Crusade is an incredibly powerful spell, and should not be overlooked before venturing off for any great battle.

[ Hex of Menthijan ] Usage: invoke 'hex of menthijan' target

Hex of menthijan, also known as the curse of the mind, is a mind tampering spell. By using hex of menthijan, a witch causes the target to lose memory of how to reinact a spell by way of casting or by way of invoking. While the affects of preventing a target from casting or invoking are incredibly powerful, the drain on the witch using this hex is just as potent. The amount of mental fortitude needed for a witch to impose control over another's mind is great. As a result, the effectiveness of the hex is controlled by the witch's intellect. The higher the intellect of the witch the stronger the affects of the hex: the less likely the target will be able to cast or invoke. It has been said that a witch who has mastered her intellect can prevent all casting or invoking attempts of her target, allowing no spells to be completed. The duration of the hex upon the target is dependent upon the witch's own stamina.

Beware the witch that has this hex, as she can place it so quickly, little retaliation can be made.

[ Hexed Scepter ]

There's no help on that topic - please try again.

[ Hold alignment ]

Usage: invoke 'hold alignment'

For millenia, the gods have granted their disciples great powers for upholding their beliefs and spreading their will across the continents. However, disobeying a godly edict left them to survive on brawn alone until atonement was made for the transgression.

This presented a rather interesting dilemma to the truly devout, for in serving the will of their gods it was sometimes necessary to break their decrees. It is for this reason that the most fanatic of their adherents were granted hold alignment.

By invoking this skill, a disciple's acts against his god may go unnoticed for a time, that he may keep the gifts granted unto him. Followers of great intelligence can more effectively conceal their offenses from the supreme beings, though the gods are willing to sometimes overlook misconduct from even the lowliest of their believers.

[ Holy Analgesic ]

This spell, both castable and invokable, calls on the Healer's relationship with their God to alleviate the suffering of comrades in arms. Holy Analgesic will also aid the Bishop by giving them additional experience for their benign nature. The power of this spell is directly related to the Bishop's level and proficiency (skill %). As God is infallible, this spell never fails and should the Healer be of the purest alignment the spell's effect is enhanced.

When successfully used, this ability will also slightly improve the user's alignment.

[ Holy Hammer ]

Usage: cast 'holy hammer' direction
Usage: invoke 'holy hammer' direction

In an attempt to keep themselves out of hand-to-hand combat, the arch-bishops returned to their studies to seek out a way to attack their opponents from afar. Deep within an old musty tome, they happened upon their answer. Written in tongues that only the ancients knew, was the incantation for calling forth the long forgotten blessed hammer. Embarking on the arduous path of perfecting this newly found asset, the arch-bishops came to understand the powers of the holy weapon. Projecting this forceful weapon in any chosen direction will leave a trail of carnage in not only its intended path, but to the surprise of the arch-bishops, the hammer returned from whence it came and continued its destruction. With stronger determination, intellect and piety, the power and distance the hammer travels increases.

Never shall you fear a hammer more than when an arch-bishop controls it.
