Forge of Magical Dampening
[ Fireball ]
Usage: cast 'fireball' target
Usage: invoke 'fireball' target
Usage: cast 'fireball' (when used in battle, targets opponent)
Usage: invoke 'fireball' (when used in battle, targets opponent)
One of the deadly flaming attacks. Fireball grows in power as the caster grows
in intellect and wisdom. One of the primary benefits of fireball is the growth
it makes as the caster grows in experience. Starting off fairly weak, a
fireball from an experienced caster can be enough to drop a fairly robust
creature. It has been rumored that the fireball will grow five times in a
caster's lifetime. There has been little proof to dismiss or support this
rumor.
[ Flight ]
Usage: cast 'flight' (targets self)
Usage: invoke 'flight' (targets self)
Usage: cast 'flight' target
Usage: invoke 'flight' target
The power of flight will allow the target of this spell to magically begin
to fly. The flight duration is based on the actor's level, while the power
of the fly is based on the caster's intellect plus wisdom, if it is cast, or
willpower, if it is invoked. Flight is a great way to reduce movement costs
of long distance travel.
[ Flow of nobility ]
Purely a Knightly trait, the flow of nobility may be invoked by small or weak
poliir. Nobility will improve certain aspects of a poliir, within reason.
When invoking this spell a poliir must choose one of the following traits to
increase; strength, constitution, dexterity, agility or speed. When invoking
this spell, the following is used: invoke 'flow of nobility' .
This spell may only be used upon the poliir herself/himself. Although the
power of nobility is not extremely dramatic at first, when a poliir's willpower
grows to the level of a master, the poliir's nobility will have devestating
affects.
[ Followers gaze of return ]
Usage: cast 'followers gaze of return'
Usage: invoke 'followers gaze of return'
Followers gaze of return allows a necromancer to bend nearby magical forces
to his or her will in order to bring followers back to his or her side. This
spell merely enhances the effects of other spells which are used to transport
followers back to the necromancer. It must be used in combination with another
followers transport spell in order to be effective - alone it is useless.
The range of the spell is limited, working only on the immediate area and the
duration of the spell can be short (based on the user's constitution, as well
as the recovery time before using another gaze). But when used successfully by
an extremely wise necromancer, the small benefits of this spell can seem large.
Especially when it's an army that's being moved...
[ Forge of magical dampening ]
Usage: invoke 'forge of magical dampening'
The forge of magical dampening is one of the mightiest spells of the barbarian.
Barbarians, the long time fighters, have delved slightly into the magical arts.
Enough so, that they understand basic methodologies, but do not care to master
it as others do. Instead, they often times use it merely as a means to an end.
Forge of magical dampening could not be a better example of this.
This forge attempts to use the barbarian's physical strength and basic magical
understanding to suck dry the magical powers of an area. What this means is,
for a short period of time, the barbarian will make the immediate area spell
free. For the average barbarian, this is a good thing. For the average caster
or invoker, this is a very bad thing.
The duration of the forge is based solely on the barbarian's strength. The
time spent recovering before being able to use another forge is based on the
barbarian's constitution.
