[ Magical resonance drain ]

Usage: magical resonance drain object

When one dies, they leave with them a resonation of power, of energy. Magical resonance drain is an attempt to drain a creature's corpse of any remaining, resonating power and convert it into magical energy which is absorbed by the user of this ability. When performed successfully, magical resonance drain will destroy the corpse it is draining energy from, so be sure to empty the corpse you are draining from before using this power on it. The power of magical resonance drain is based on the intellect of the user, the more intellectually creative the user of this ability is, the greater the magical rewards.

[ Mantis stance ]

Usage: mantis stance target
Usage: mantis stance (when already in battle)

Drawing upon their mental acuity to apply knowledge of the body, a monk can improve the speed at which he moves while simultaneously enhancing his hand-eye coordination and physical prowess in battle. The true power of the mantis comes from the application of the monk's knowledge and as such, the power of the mantis grows with the intellect of the monk. Offering enhanced speed, dexterity and strength, "mantis" is the first stance along the path of monk's understanding of physiology. The duration of the stance is dependent upon the constitution of the monk and as the constitution of the monk grows so does the duration of mantis in battle. While "mantis" stance can be used more frequently than other stances practiced by the monk, the focus required is still such that this stance must still be used sparingly.

[ Mental blast ]

Usage: mental blast target
Usage: mental blast (when used in battle, if no target is supplied, automatically targets opponent)

Those of sound mind and body can direct their internal forces into a powerful blast of pure energy. This skill requires much concentration and will exhaust a person if not used carefully. As it requires the use of endurance, rather than mana or spirit, this skill is extremely useful as a "fall back" skill to continue damaging beings when casting or invoking is not possible. Although the initial damage of this skill is not great, the skill power improves as the willpower, intellect and wisdom of the user increases.

[ Mental tempest ]

Usage: mental tempest target
Usage: mental tempest (when used in battle, if no target is supplied, automatically targets opponent)

If one is extremely sound of mind and body it is possible to viciously lash out at an opponent simply with a thought. The intense concentration used during this technique can quickly sap one's energy so it is best to be careful not to exhaust yourself when using it. Mental tempest uses endurance, rather than mana or spiritual powers, and will incur additional damage as the user grows in intellect, willpower and wisdom. As the user of this skill grows in experience, mental tempest will grow in power and will continue to do additional damage to the opponent.

[ Mental tiaran ]

Usage: mental tiaran target

How can the rapture of this skill be explained? One might say that it allows the user to capture a target in the distance and exploit their mental weaknesses. One might say this skill can be used to provoke a level of strategy that could not be possible without it. One might argue that mental tiaran enables the user to become a being with such great power they could possibly destroy any creature. One could say many things about mental tiaran...

What is known is it allows the user to attack a target's mind from a distance. The range is based on the willpower and constitution of the user. The damage inflicted is based on the intellect, wisdom and willpower of the user. The success rate is based on the willpower of the user plus the skill level of mental tiaran versus the target's intellect and wisdom.

Mental tiaran allows a specific target to be hit with a mental "tearing" which is not limited to the direct line of sight of the user nor does it toll the user with a heavy recovery period. Mental tiaran is deadly when controlled by the right mind. It can be used in such a way that the opponent has not even the chance to strike back... and it is of the Naj'k.

Fear those who weild this power, for it is powerful beyond what any mortal being could possibly imagine.
